I really try not to be political in my online life but the announcement this week regarding the government's effort to de-fund Planned Parenthood has been extremely upsetting for me. The services that PP provides to women (and men) is very much needed and the very reason that people want it de-funded (abortion) is the very reason that they should want to continue to support it. Planned Parenthood provides free (low cost) birth control to people who, otherwise, may not have access to it. And without birth control, woman can get pregnant (Captain Obvious, I know). And then comes the harder choices.
This blog isn't about abortion but the limited access to essential healthcare that would happen if PP doesn't have the funding that it needs to provide services.
Planned Parenthood needs to continue to serve this country and I would like to do my part in supporting them. From now, January 7th, through January 31st, I will be donating $3 from each sale of felted soap bars. My goal is $400. I would love your help in meeting this goal.
